Yichiban Buffet is a casual Chinese and Japanese buffet restaurant in Euless, Texas, serving a wide spread of hot dishes, sushi, seafood, soups, sides, and desserts in a relaxed all-you-can-eat setting. Located at 1201 Airport Fwy Suite 160, Euless, TX 76040, the restaurant works well for diners who want variety, quick service, and a meal that gives everyone at the table something different to enjoy.
The biggest appeal of Yichiban Buffet is choice. Instead of ordering one plate, guests can move through the buffet and build their own meal from different sections. Chinese favorites are a core part of the spread, with saucy chicken dishes, beef, vegetables, fried rice, noodles, soups, egg rolls, and other familiar buffet items. For guests who like mixing flavors, it is easy to pair a scoop of rice with stir-fried meats, add vegetables, then go back for another small plate.
The Japanese side adds more variety through sushi and teppanyaki-style options. Reviews often mention sushi as one of the reasons people visit, especially for diners who enjoy having rolls as part of a larger buffet meal. The teppanyaki style section gives guests another way to enjoy fresh-cooked items with meat, seafood, vegetables, and sauce. That mix helps Yichiban Buffet feel broader than a basic Chinese buffet.
Seafood is also part of the experience. Depending on the day and time, guests may find shrimp, fish, crab-style items, and other seafood choices across the buffet. These dishes work well for people who want a fuller dinner rather than a light lunch. Soups, salads, fruit, and desserts round out the meal, giving the restaurant the classic buffet rhythm of hot plates, small bites, and sweet finishers.
The vibe is simple, busy, and family friendly. It is not a formal restaurant, and it does not try to be one. The setting is practical, with plenty of seating, takeout availability, and wheelchair access. It fits group meals, quick lunches, casual dinners, and families with different tastes. Some public reviews are mixed, especially around consistency, so the best experience is to visit during busier meal periods when trays tend to turn over faster.
Yichiban Buffet stands out in Euless for Chinese and Japanese buffet variety, sushi, hot dishes, seafood, teppanyaki style plates, desserts, takeout, and an easygoing dining room near Airport Freeway.

My visit to this buffet was an absolute disaster, and I strongly advise against going. The food quality was shockingly poor; much of it seemed old and barely edible. I wouldn't even consider trying the sushi, which had a concerningly dark color. To make matters worse, a server became visibly offended when I didn't eat some of the food I'd chosen, despite it being truly inedible. She then rudely removed my plate and took it directly to the cashier, speaking aggressively in Chinese and pointing at me, which was incredibly unprofessional and humiliating. Spending almost $20 for such a subpar and frankly disgusting buffet is outrageous. You'd be much better off going to Japan House or Sushi Soho, where for just about $22 for lunch, you get freshly made-to-order food that far surpasses anything offered here. I will never return.

It's truly baffling that after eight years, the menu displayed on Google Maps still features prices that are less than half of what is actually charged today; this significant discrepancy is quite misleading. Beyond the outdated pricing, the food quality here falls considerably short when compared to other all-you-can-eat buffets in the area, particularly those like King Buffet on I-20 or Yes Buffet on 303 in Grand Prairie.

I was impressed by the wide array of food choices available; I only regret not capturing more photos of everything! The sushi selection was extensive, featuring numerous fresh and delicious rolls. A standout for me was the roasted pork – it's rare to find this at a buffet, and honestly, it surpassed what I've had at many dedicated restaurants or markets. My only minor critique was that the hibachi items seemed a bit overcooked. On the service front, the wait staff was incredibly attentive, quick to clear plates and ensure our drinks were always topped up. Considering everything, this establishment has definitely become one of my top Asian buffet picks in the vicinity.
